It’s great that so many of you are finding the polls on LinkedIn interesting. One adviser commented on the recent question about health excess levels, requesting more information on the most quoted health excess by age of the client. We are pleased to be able to share this to showcase the excellent data our team has been collecting over the last 12 years via Quotemonster.
The most commonly quoted excess these days is $500. Interestingly, in our earlier days, it was $250, note that the change from $250 to $500 has developed over many years. There could be a few reasons for this, one being the higher the excess, the lower the premium, and customers preferring insurance to cover the higher medical expenses as opposed to minor ones, resulting in a more cost-effective premium.
