AIA NZ to support Relief Run for India

Next week AIA NZ is taking part in Relief Run, a virtual global event to raise money for the people of India devastated by COVID-19.

A massive spike in COVID-19 infections in India is claiming thousands of lives, and the country’s health system is struggling to cope. All funds raised from this Relief Run will be donated to the World Vision COVID-19 appeal, which will see funding provide more beds, oxygen machines and medical supplies in hospitals in some of the worst hit districts.

On Wednesday 9 June, the AIA NZ team will be running or walking 5km around the Smales Farm precinct in Takapuna, Auckland, and encourage participation from anywhere in the world.

All funds raised by Relief Run will go towards the World Vision’s COVID-19 India crisis appeal, which is sourcing equipment and supplies including beds, oxygen concentrators, food vouchers and tents for temporary COVID-19 care centres.

For more information and to register, check out the Relief Run website.
