Wide Range of Advice Businesses Exist

In goodreturns recently you will see an article calling on advice businesses to be more professional. That's a valuable and worthwhile call. At the same time I would like to recognise that there are already some excellent advice businesses – and sometimes their great strengths will be completely invisible to the life insurers that they deal with.

The range of skills and approaches on display in the world of advice is very broad. We have the equivalent range in advice as from fast food to fine dining. There is a place for them all. But it annoys me when a client is brought in on the basis of fine dining and served fast-food. Also, there are, frankly, some less good operators. The equivalent of the hideously over-priced sausage in a bun at a tourist trap, or worse. But this article names the right targets:

"…understanding the value of their entire businesses – processes, systems, brand, commercial offices, referral partners, skilled staff, passive renewal income…”
