Diana Clement has this lengthy piece following up a piece which details a number of complaints about Youi’s sales processes. The fact that the story includes contributions from former staff and clients who are happy to be quoted underlines makes it look like more than the odd problem. Stories of reducing the sum insured are a concern. With property insurance I know that most insurers are very careful to get clients to work through a calculator or obtain some independent input into what the property might be worth – underinsuring is likely to create a lot of trouble at claim time.
